Ambient music from Scotland - built with guitars, synths, texture and space.
I’m Alzo, a Scottish ambient musician creating atmospheric music shaped by guitars, synthesisers, orchestral layers and soft electronic detail.
My music sits somewhere between ambient soundscapes, sci-fi soundtracks, post-rock textures and late-night headphone music - made for drifting, focusing, travelling, exploring and getting lost for a while.
I release solo albums and EPs, and I’m open to selected music licensing and commission work for games, video and creative projects.
Who I Am
I’m a musician and guitarist based on the east coast of Scotland.
I’ve played guitar for years in bands, but as Alzo is where I explore a more atmospheric side of music - long-form ambient pieces, cinematic textures, sci-fi moods, quiet melodies and evolving soundscapes.
Most of my music begins as something personal: a sound, a mood, a place, a memory, or the feeling of looking out into the distance and wondering what’s next.
That personal approach is still at the centre of what I do, whether I’m releasing a solo album, performing live, creating a video, or working on music for someone else’s project.

Drift
Drift is a long-form ambient album created as a soundtrack for astronauts, explorers and anyone who needs a little space.
Built with synths, guitars, samples and slow-moving textures, it was made for deep focus, space travel, quiet reflection, Elite Dangerous sessions, coding, studying and late-night listening.
My sound
I make atmospheric music with a focus on mood, texture and emotion.
You’ll usually hear a mix of:
ambient synths
guitars and processed guitar textures
soft orchestral layers
field recordings and samples
subtle beats and dusty rhythms
cinematic pads
sci-fi-inspired sound design
slow-building arrangements

The music is often quiet, spacious and reflective - but it can also be melodic, hopeful, strange, nostalgic or gently massive when it needs to be.
